Loud and Vexatious People

I would love to put some of the things I have running through my head but I just dont have the time at the moment and I really don't want to upset any of the folk I will upset by exposing them

Anyway I have been through the mill since my last regular postings

I got back from Thailand intially in June 2014 and despite being in a bit of a slow motion state from six months of intensive meditation was prompted by my brother to not be a burden and so I started looking for work.

When I say I started looking for work what I really mean is I started looking and trying to understand what had changed in the IT world since 2004 when I dissapeared off to Thailand

One of the obvious things that had moved ahead was the internet - I started to look at Network jobs and they looked plentiful so I plummed for a Cisco CNNA course self studied on line
Looking back I can see that James Michaelson ripped me off when selling me a group of videos on a USB stick - I cant rememebr exactly how much I had paid for it but as they say hindsight is a wonderful thing

I plought through it and got on pretty well but my traditional hunt for VB jobs was a difficult habit to break apart from the fact that they were far and few between the plethora of C# jobs that seemed to have taken VB's place. So no traditional VB 6 work and a number of .NET jobs ( another comment on that later)

So the start of my stay in the UK was not an easy one

Eventually I landed a job at just under 29K for a print company - I waded in and started cramming

The points and issues I learned deserve a post of their own so I will do just that tomorrow
