Other Memories - a mental note

Other memories from Amlwch include sitting on my fathers knee behind the wheel of a 192? Silver Ghost Rolls Royce swinging the steering wheel from side to side, watching a friend of my sister chop up an adder that had been found nearby, a sow in a field playing with an old shirt, being mauled by a terrier, riding a blue bicycle down the hill, my first tiny bicycle and trying to follow my older brother and sisters on a trip to Bull Bay - seemed like miles. Being caught in some sort of pit like hole below a local disused mill, The water tower nearby, watching my mum walk back up the hill, horse racing on tv. delivering news papers, Vevo shop and water fights.
My closest sister used to pretend there were fairies in the verge nearby which was something she would torment me with. there was my lego set - i remember waking up to seeing a windmill ready assembled - way beyond my ability but at that age everything was...

...school, UFO???

First Memories

My first vivid memories go back to when i was 3 or 4 years old. My family lived in Amlwch in a council house on a small estate near the secondary school. I remember a sunny morning and being given a jam jar to "paint" the gate posts with. I still recall the sizzle of the water on the dry paving blocks and a game i used to play with small cochineal ants that i used to paint into corrals and herd into groups allowing the water to dry out and let them free.
I am sure this only occurred once or twice but i recall thinking it was a tedious pointless task but i humoured mother as it did occupy me.
